John Bates Memorial Event - 30th April to 2nd May 2022

"Firstly, I wanted to say a massive thank you to the club and the members for the magnificent turn out on the 30th April 2022 – rather late saying this but I think as it been father’s day and dad passed away two years ago this Wednesday its really been on my mind that I haven’t thanked you all for your amazing support for our family.
It was such an amazing day and the video of all the boats honking horns when we laid dad to rest at last under the bridge it swells my heart with pride that he was such a big part of these amazing boats and that you all took the time to bring yourselves and some of you your boats (11 what an amazing turn out) to send him off – So a massive thank you from all of the Bates Family."
