Built as "NEW VENTURE" for Mr. Smart or possibly Clarke

Original engines were twin Chrysler Crown 6 cyl petrol units giving 115 HP each.

 

Owned by Brian Rutland and by Roy Smith to April 1987.
At one time may have been 'NEW VENTURE'
April 1987 Named Yarnspinner, she was purchased by Graham and Sue Mackereth.
Renamed "Pleione" after a group of 7 stars in the Seven Sisters of Pleiades. Cruised extensively till 1994.
1999 She then underwent a rebuild which was completed in 1999. Graham and Sue now plan to take her on the French canals and rivers in the new millenium.
2002 Purchased by Mr & Mrs John Martin and renamed to the original name, New Venture.
2009 Purchased by Steve Hoile and Gillian Nahum for charter through Henley Sales & Charter.
2011 Owned by Gillian Nahum and Chris Taylor/New Venture Charter Ltd.
