History
 
There were only five 20' Star Craft built. This one was one of 2 sports versions hence the chrysler crown engines. Engine previously fitted in "Tantalus", formally "Canopus Star", one of the Bates hire fleet.
She was built for Lord Montague of Beaulieau, and on completion was exhibited at the 3rd National Boat Show at Olympia.
Named cygnet from new purchased by M.Loynes from P.Freebody (boatbuilders)
December 1999

 

Purchased by Mervyn Loynes and renamed Cygnet Star
Being restored by owner, a Chrysler Crown engine and gearbox being fitted to restore to original specification
